We’ve been waiting since the start of December for World of Warcraft’s patch 9.2, titled Eternity’s End. We have almost expected to wait for much longer, as those who play-tested the patch made recommendations to Blizzard. Now it seems we’ll receive the patch sooner than expected, with a release date revealed.

Blizzard just announced that patch 9.2 is releasing on February 22. This patch will be introducing a new zone called Zeryth Mortis. This new zone is an otherworldly location that defies all concepts of reality and physics.

Not only will this patch include a new location. There will also be new daily and World quests, along with a new World Boss and a few scenario chapters to work through. Naturally, this latest patch will also include a new raid titled ‘Sepulchre of the First Ones. This raid will include 11 new bosses and features, Anduin Wrynn. There will also be a showdown with Zovaal the Jailer at the end.

A new allied faction will also join the cause, called the ‘Enlightened’. Their assistance will allow players to simultaneously equip two legendary items, one being the Covenant Legendary Belt, which is also introduced in this patch.

This patch will also mark the end of the Shadowland expansion, with patch 9.2.5 finally allowing orcs and humans to play together in certain raids and battles (though not scenarios). With the announcement that these will be the final patches to the current expansion, it could be that we’re also looking at a fall release for the new expansion.

We look forward to the World of Warcraft Eternity’s End release date of February 22. We’re eager to explore the new location and other raids and scenarios included with this release.
