Blizzard Accidentally Leaked World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic Release Date
Gamers who have been watching Blizzard news on the Battle.Net platform had a surreal experience when the publisher hinted at a released date for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic. It was picked up by fans in the Blizzard forums, but the announcement was quickly removed. Still, the evidence is roaming the internet with screenshots to prove it.
Blizzard has been hard at work remastering several of their classic games. At BlizzConline, the publisher mentioned the WoW: TBC release for 2021, but no official date was cast in stone. However, the leak seems to indicate that we’re looking at a launch date of June 1, 2021.
There has been some controversy over the remastered classic game, especially when Blizzard announced it would include a Cash Shop. You could also acquire mounts, which was a rare commodity in the original title that represented a player’s status. Some fans welcomed this modern approach, while others were dissatisfied and wanted the publisher to remain true to the classic version.
Whatever their feelings, we’re all excited to see World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic appear. Since June 1 is right around the corner, we’re hoping to see an official announcement from Blizzard soon. Well, one that actually stays around long enough to enjoy it.
